CDL Driver

WAGE LEVEL__________________________________Hourly DEPARTMENT____________________________ Production REPORTS TO____________________Designated Foreman SUMMARY: Individual is to load/unload, secure and operate vehicles to deliver and transport material, supplies and equipment. Must be licensed to operate a vehicle. Licensing requirements depend on the state. Must have a “satisfactory” driving record. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Drives truck with capacity to the GVW to transport material, and supplies to and from specified destinations, or within industrial areas Verifies load against shipping papers. Drives truck to destinations, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and roads in area. Accepts receipts for load picked up. Collects payments for goods delivered and for delivery charges. May maintain telephone or radio contact with foreman or supervisor. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required. REQUIRED LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS: Valid Driver’s License with "satisfactory" driving record.
