In this temporary Buyer role, you will partner closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to support mission‑critical programs in a fast‑paced, high‑accountability environment.What you’ll doPurchase materials, equipment, supplies, and services in accordance with established purchasing policies and proceduresManage procurement activities across a diverse portfolio, including services, maintenance, repairs, chemicals, electronics, machined parts, semiconductors, and hardware built to government and company specificationsNegotiate pricing, delivery, and commercial terms with suppliersTrack and report on open purchase orders, late orders, delivery schedules, and supplier on‑time performanceFollow up with suppliers to resolve delivery, quality, or documentation issuesInterface professionally with internal customers and external vendorsSupport continuous improvement of procurement and compliance‑related policies, forms, and training materialsPerform all work with a strong focus on ethics, compliance, and safe work practicesWhat you needProcurement and negotiation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities – requiredExperience working in a high‑volume, deadline‑driven environment with minimal supervision – requiredStrong communication skills, both written and verbal – requiredProficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel – requiredMinimum of 2 years of experience in a Buyer role – requiredHigh School Diploma or GED – requiredBachelor’s degree – preferredProcurement or supply chain professional development courses – preferredWhat we offerA hands‑on opportunity to contribute to regulated, high‑impact programsExposure to complex supply chains and supplier networksA collaborative, professional work environmentWhat happens nextApplications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
