Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients, including high-risk OB and a culturally diverse patient population
• Circulate on cesarean sections as required
• Manage an average daily census of 15–20 patients across an 11-room, 15-bed unit
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility staffing needs, including potential float to nearby sister facilities
• Commit to working weekend shifts as needed to meet staffing requirements
• Fulfill holiday coverage expectations, including availability for 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license required (pending license not accepted; compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
• Postpartum experience preferred and will be considered favorably
• Ability to meet background check requirements (facility does not accept background hits)
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler (locals may be considered under separate terms)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Postpartum nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience working with high-risk OB populations
• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are also encouraged to apply
