Job Title: Registered Nurse I Profession: Nursing Specialty: Registered Nursing Duration: Full Time Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Up to six (6) months related experience required. License: Valid multi-state or state Registered Nurse License required. Certifications: None preferred. Must-Have: - Completed the basic professional curricula of a school of nursing as approved and verified by a state board of nursing. - Working knowledge of general disease state management processes, bio-psychosocial model, and clinical pathways. - Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. - Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner. - Attention to detail in examining clinical and numerical data. Description: The Registered Nurse I assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care. Utilizes the nursing process according to hospital standards and unit policies/procedures. Documents all steps of the nursing process accurately. Addresses problems and tracks progress toward established goals. Facilitates patient discharge through timely referrals. Utilizes patient education resources suitable to individual patient needs. Collaborates with other healthcare disciplines as appropriate. Supports unit and organizational goals through participation in educational activities. Independently makes decisions from a variety of alternatives. Coordinates activities of others but does not supervise. Engages directly with patients and customers. Interacts with internal and external customers via telephone or face-to-face. Works regularly with other healthcare professionals and staff members. Communicates effectively with individuals at various organizational levels.
