Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Orthopedics
Schedule: Shift: Nights 3 x 12-hour (184507:15) - Every other weekend required
Assignment Details: Length: 13-week contracts accepted
Requirements: Minimum 2 years of med-surg orthopedic experience, BLS certification required, experience with Epic EMR required, must pass EKG testing prior to start
Roles & Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatric patients in a surgical orthopedic unit. Monitor and manage patients' postoperative recovery, including total joint replacements and spinal surgeries. Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and their families about recovery processes and discharge planning. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including isolation precautions and the use of personal protective equipment.
Compliance / Notes: Medical or religious exemptions are allowed for flu vaccination. Candidate must complete required lab testing within 48 hours after signing. No RTO after booking is allowed; any call-offs may lead to cancellation. Non-billable modules expected (approx. 210 hours).
