CDL Driver Class B

Job Description Job Description Full time driver to operate our 2024 Freightliner Box Truck with automatic transmission and disc air brakes. Must have a CDL Class B minimum with clean record. Perform pre and post trip vehicle inspection. Must be familiar how to use ELD to log all information. Job duties include Verifies load against shipping papers. Drives truck to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving guidelines and roads in area. Prepares receipts for load picked up. Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations. Maintains an appearance that is neat and professional realizing that they represent the company at all times. Conducts driving in a manner that is considered professional and courteous. Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions. Inspects truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water daily. Maintains DEF fluid and notifies Manager if new drum is needed. Keeps log of Brake adjustments every 5,000 miles Keeps track of Required PM service dates based on Freightliner suggested intervals (May) Weigh materials or products and record weight on tags, labels. (May) Drive pick up truck or Company Cars to make short run deliveries. Performs maintenance/ preventative maintenance, for example: lubricates truck, fills fuel tank. Communicates with co-workers and supervisor to receive instructions. Complies with company policies/ safety regulations.
