Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Orthopedics position requiring a valid NC or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Inpatient hospital setting, Med/Surg Orthopedics unit
• Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact state required prior to start of clinical care
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Acute care / inpatient hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary care teams to identify and pursue expected patient outcomes
• Assesses and anticipates discharge needs, communicating and updating plans of care with patients and families using cultural competency
• Fosters intra- and interdepartmental communication within a clinical operations environment
• ACLS certification may be required on some units prior to performing clinical care; training and certification opportunities will be provided
• Annual competency assessments are required per the documented competency checklist
