Join Our Dynamic Operating Room Team as a Travel RN Job Description: - Location: Idaho Falls, ID - Start Date: ASAP (Must start on 10/26 or later) - Duration: 13 weeks - Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week Unit Information: - Type: Operating Room - Configuration: 13 ORs - Team: 25 RNs / 29 CSTs Schedule: - Monday to Friday: - 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM: 13 RNs / 13 CSTs in up to 10 rooms - 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM: 8 RNs / 8 CSTs in up to 7 rooms - 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM: 6 RNs / 5 CSTs in up to 4 rooms - 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM: 3 RNs / 2 CSTs in up to 2 rooms - 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM: 1 RN / 1 CST for trauma coverage - Weekends: - 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM (Saturday and Sunday): 1 RN / 1 CST for trauma - Saturday has an additional call team for two rooms (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM) Patient Ratios: - Average 50 hours of surgical time (patient in room) Monday – Friday - Weekends: Vary, with Saturdays typically heavier than Sundays EMR System: - Meditech Ideal Candidate Profile: Must-Have Skills: - 3 years of operating room experience - Trauma experience - Shift and call flexibility Preferred Skills: - CNOR certification - Burn experience - Robotic experience - Neuro experience Typical Procedures Performed: - High acuity burn care (debridement, skin grafting) - Dental restorations and oral maxillofacial - ENT surgeries (T&A to cochlear implants) - Gastroenterology procedures (EGD, colonoscopy) - General surgeries (variety of procedures) - Gynecological surgeries (abdominal/vaginal hysterectomies) - Neuro surgeries (spinal fusions, craniotomies) - Open heart surgeries (CABG, fistulas) - Orthopedic trauma - Robotics in gynecological, general, and urological surgeries - Trauma surgeries (damage control) Team Fit: - Open and outgoing personality - Forward-thinking approach - Strong team player - Excellent critical thinking skills Required Certifications: - BLS Dress Code: - Per AORN standards Weekend and On-Call: - Rotate weekend call every four weeks - Call utilized to fill staffing holes - Typical call shifts: 2, 4, 8, or 12 hours - Efforts made to limit total work (including call) to 60 hours/week Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol): At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
