Marana Detention Center | Marana, AZ
$33.88 per hour | Full-time


Responsible for the custody and security of detainees in the facility in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and customer directives.

What you will do

• Serve as shift supervisor.
• May be assigned to housing or administrative duties as applicable.
• Coordinate activities of offender orientation, arrival and discharge.
• Prepare pre-release detainees for release.
• Coordinate the completion of all necessary paperwork.
• Conduct interviews and counseling sessions as assigned.
• Monitors intake photo and identification activities.
• Supervise, protect, instruct, train, counsel, and evaluate assigned employees and detainees; schedule employees' and detainees' work and off-duty time; assist in formulating security and work procedures.
• Supervise and direct searches for contraband and provide security.
• Read, review, and properly apply information found in detainee records which is related to the detainees' health and safety and to the security of the facility. Provide appropriate information to other personnel.

What you will need

• High school diploma or GED, minimum of three (3) years' experience in an adult correctional or detention facility
  environment or related field required
• At least 21 years of age and a US Citizen or Lawful US Permanent Resident required.
• One (1) year of prior experience is required to be in a supervisory capacity.
• Must successfully complete required preservice training.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
