Our headquarters is a 10,000-square-foot building right off the 405 at Sand Canyon in Irvine. OC Solar has grown steadily since 2016, with offices across Southern California. About the Role: The Funding Coordinator plays a critical role in managing and facilitating the financial processes related to solar leasing projects within the construction industry. This position ensures that funding applications, approvals, and disbursements are handled efficiently to support project timelines and financial goals. The coordinator acts as a liaison between internal teams, financial institutions, and clients to secure and manage funding resources. By maintaining thorough knowledge of the solar industry and leasing options, the role supports strategic decision-making and optimizes funding opportunities. Ultimately, the Funding Coordinator contributes to the successful deployment of solar projects by ensuring smooth financial operations and compliance with industry standards.

• * Financing Coordination **

Manage and support financing applications across multiple partners, including Palmetto, GoodLeap, Enfin, OneEthos, Participate Energy, CleanFi, and others Learn and stay up to date on all available financing products and requirements Assist in progressing projects from financing approval to funding readiness Communicate directly with customers to obtain required stipulations and documentation Ensure all financing conditions are satisfied prior to funding submission ** Funding Submission ** Review project documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to submission Submit funding packages to financing partners in a timely manner Verify key documents, including but not limited to: Customer utility bills Signed contracts Bill of Materials (BOM) Installation photos and completion documentation Identify and resolve discrepancies or missing information before submission ** Project Support & Coordination ** Collaborate with internal teams (sales, project management, installation) to keep projects moving forward Follow up consistently on outstanding items to prevent delays Maintain clear and accurate records of project and funding status Escalate issues when necessary and proactively problem-solve ** Qualifications Required ** Two plus years experience in billing, accounts receivable, or project‑based accounting Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time management skills High sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple priorities Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) High level of personal accountability and ownership Ability to work both independently and as part of a team ** Preferred Qualifications ** Experience with solar financing platforms (Palmetto, GoodLeap, Enfin, OneEthos, Participate Energy, CleanFi, etc.) Background in solar, construction, or administrative/project coordination roles Experience handling documentation, compliance, or funding submissions ** Key Traits for Success ** Detail-oriented and process-driven Strong follow-up and persistence Team player with a problem-solving mindset Adaptable and willing to learn new systems and processes Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Skills: Effective communication skills are essential for daily interactions with clients, financial partners, and internal teams to ensure clarity and timely resolution of funding matters. Organizational skills are used to manage multiple funding processes simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and documentation is complete. Analytical skills help in tracking funding status and interpreting financial data to support project decision-making.
