A contract opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, supporting students in a dynamic school environment. You'll collaborate closely with dedicated educational teams to foster accessible learning experiences and provide specialized instruction tailored to individual needs.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
• Demonstrated knowledge of current instructional strategies for D/HH students
• Experience with both individual and small group instruction
• Ability to develop and modify educational materials for accessibility
• Understanding of assistive technology and its implementation in educational settings
• Strong communication and collaborative skills to work effectively with educators, families, and service providers

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Deliver targeted instruction in accordance with students’ unique learning needs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to integrate accommodations and modifications
• Utilize and recommend appropriate assistive technology and classroom resources
• Foster self-advocacy, communication skills, and independence among students
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and participate in IEP meetings
