Employee Experience Coordinator

(This is an in-office, 20 to 28 hour per week position in Peoria, IL.) Role Purpose The Employee Experience Coordinator serves as the organization's primary human resources professional, overseeing the employee lifecycle while building scalable HR programs, policies, and processes that support organizational growth. This role partners with leadership to ensure compliance with employment laws, strengthen employee engagement, improve organizational effectiveness, and create an exceptional employee experience from recruitment through separation. The position balances day-to-day HR operations with strategic initiatives including career architecture, organizational development, employee engagement, compliance, performance management, and workforce planning. Key Responsibilities Employee Lifecycle Management Manage HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle, including recruitment support, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding. Serve as the primary HR resource for employees and managers, providing guidance on company policies, procedures, and employment matters. HR Operations & Compliance Administer HR systems, employee records, personnel documentation, and employment-related reporting. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including I-9 administration, immigration-related employment documentation, and HR audit requirements. Develop, maintain, and improve HR policies, procedures, forms, and employee documentation. Organizational Development Lead initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and company culture. Develop and maintain career architecture, job descriptions, competency frameworks, and performance management programs. Partner with leadership on organizational planning, workforce needs, and people-related initiatives. HR Programs & Process Improvement Design, implement, and continuously improve HR programs and processes that enhance the employee experience and support business objectives. Analyze HR metrics, employee feedback, and organizational data to identify trends and recommend improvements. Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and company-wide HR projects. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three (3) years of progressive Human Resources experience. Working knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and employee relations. Experience maintaining confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge managing immigration processes Preferred Qualifications Experience building HR infrastructure in a scaling company Experience with SOC 2 compliance controls SHRM-CP, PHR, or related certification Experience supporting a technology or high-growth organization. Experience with HRIS and performance management systems. Experience developing HR policies, career frameworks, and organizational programs.
