Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Down East Care, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Evaluating Patient Needs: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients referred by physicians to determine their specific needs and establish tailored treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Implementing Treatment Programs: Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions utilizing the latest research and treatment modalities across various specializations, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine.
• Providing Education: Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, therapeutic exercises, and self-management strategies to promote recovery and prevent re-injury.
• Documenting Progress: Maintain precise documentation of patient progress and therapy outcomes to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and optimize care quality.
• Enhancing Patient Experience: Promote a positive atmosphere by providing exceptional customer service, actively engaging with patients to foster trust and understanding throughout their rehabilitation process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work closely with a diverse clientele, ranging from young athletes recovering from sports injuries to older adults managing chronic pain. Your role will be instrumental in helping these individuals achieve functional goals and enhance their quality of life through personalized care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from a recognized provider.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively establish rapport with patients and their families.
• Proficient in managing documentation and utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in an outpatient setting.
