MarquisConstructionServices Job Description – Scaffold (Helper/Apprentice) Summary / Objective AScaffoldBuilderisresponsiblefortheconstruction,assembly,maintaininganddismantlingoftubularscaffolding. Essential Functions AdheretoallOSHA,sitespecificandMarquisConstructionServicesrequirementsfortheconstruction,assemblyanddismantlingofthescaffolding. Inspectsjobsiteandallscaffoldmaterialfordefectandsafetyhazards Participateinsafetypre-jobaudits(JSA’s)withthescaffoldingcrewtoensureallsafetyhazardshavebeenidentified Conductdailyvisualinspectionsofscaffoldingtoensurestructuralstability Properlysecuresscaffoldtothepermanentstructureforaddedstability. Assemblesscaffoldcontaininghandrails,mid-rails,bracesandplanks,toeboards,handrails,walkways,platformsandgangways. Hoistscaffoldingmaterials,upwardinordertoerecttemporarystructure Regularlyinspectscaffoldingcomponentsandrecognizedamagedordefectivepartsvitaltothestructureofthescaffold Responsibleforcleaningandpreparingsite–removingdebrisandmaterials.
