Shipping Clerk

Nesco Resource is looking for a Shipping Clerk located in Bethel, CT. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate.

Shift: Monday-Friday 7AM-4:30PM

Pay: $20-$22/hour depending on experience

Job Summary: The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing, packaging, and coordinating outgoing shipments to ensure accurate and on-time delivery. This role supports daily shipping operations, maintains documentation, and assists throughout the department as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and staging orders
• Load, unload, and move materials using a forklift
• Verify shipment accuracy and maintain shipping records and documentation
• Communicate with carriers and internal teams via email regarding schedules and shipment status
• Enter and update shipping information in computer systems
• Assist with general shipping department tasks, including packaging and material placement
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

• Prior shipping or warehouse experience preferred
• Forklift experience required
• Basic computer skills and data entry experience
• Professional email communication skills
• Ability to lift materials and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills
