Job Description Interventional Cardiologist (PRN Weekdays)
Location: Belleville, IL
Specialty: Interventional Cardiology
Employment Type: Locum Tenens 1099
Start Date: November 3, 2025
Contract Length: 3 months, ongoing
- Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
- PRN Availability: Weekday coverage preferred
- Weekend Coverage: 24-hour call on weekends (no gratis)
- Setting: 100% inpatient rounding and consults
- Support Staff: 8 cardiologists in group
- Patient Population: Adults only
- Daily Procedures: 3 4 procedures/day
- Department Description: Inpatient cardiology service with procedural and consultative responsibilities
- EMR: Epic
- Procedures Include:
- Cardiac catheterizations
- Coronary interventions
- STEMI management
- EKGs & echocardiograms
- Temporary pacemakers
- Board Certification: Internal Medicine required
- State License: Active IL license or IMLC
- Certifications: ACLS & BLS (AHA required)
- DEA: Required
- Experience: Minimum 1 year+
- COVID-19: Vaccination + booster required
- Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days
