The hired candidate must reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance are required. Background As part of Medtronic’s Neuroscience division, the Cranial & Spinal Technologies (CST) Operating Unit delivers an integrated ecosystem of spinal implants, navigation, robotic guidance systems, advanced imaging, and data‑driven planning tools for complex spine and cranial procedures. Responsibilities Maintain, manage, and track consignments and loaner inventory. Minimize non‑usage and flight usage of inventory. Provide territory case coverage and manage accounts. Prepare and submit call reports as required by the District Sales Manager. Keep customer record books up to date per District Sales Manager’s instructions. Aggressively solicit orders from existing and prospective customers for assigned products. Identify and pursue new customers and sales opportunities following plans directed by the District Sales Manager. Resolve customer complaints per Medtronic Spinal policies and promptly report significant issues. Recommend product additions, modifications, or deletions to the line as appropriate. Complete all required product and sales‑related training curricula. Meet or exceed sales quota and total company market share in the assigned territory. Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, and conventions as directed. Collaborate with a sales representative to increase sales in respective accounts. Comply with all Medtronic Spinal policies. Work weekends, evenings, and holidays on an emergency basis when required. Qualifications Must Have: Minimum Requirements High school diploma (or equivalent) with 4+ years of relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical device, Medtech, healthcare, or life sciences; or Associate’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience; or Bachelor’s degree. Nice to Have: Preferences Effective interpersonal skills across a wide range of personalities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience working in an operating room setting. Flexibility to accommodate a variable work schedule. Strong preference for candidates with orthopedics, spine, or operating‑room experience. Local and Medtronic experience gives preferential consideration. Additional Job Requirements Must be independently mobile and able to interact with a computer for extended periods. Must regularly talk, hear, sit, reach, stand, walk, and use hands to handle tools and controls. Must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds. Normal vision required; ability to travel as needed.
