Job Title: K-5 Special Education Teacher

Location: Miami, FL 33136
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
Employment Type: Contract
Pay Rate: Starting at $35/hour (dependent on experience)

Birch Agency is seeking a passionate and dedicated K-5 Special Education Teacher for an exciting school-based opportunity in Miami, Florida .

This position offers the opportunity to work with elementary students in Kindergarten through 5th grade , providing individualized instruction and academic support to help students reach their full potential. • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals.

• Deliver differentiated instruction based on each student's academic, developmental, and behavioral needs.

• Adapt curriculum, instructional strategies, and classroom accommodations to support student success.

• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records, documentation, and progress reports.

• Collaborate with general education teachers, school administrators, related service providers, and families.

• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.

• Implement positive behavior support strategies and classroom management techniques.

• Foster a structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

• Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Exceptional Student Education, or a related field required.

• Active Florida Special Education/ESE Teaching Certification required or eligibility to obtain certification.

• Previous experience working with elementary-aged students preferred.

• Knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and special education compliance.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

• Commitment to helping students achieve academic and personal success.

• Elementary school setting serving students in Kindergarten through 5th grade .

• Collaborative team environment with educators, therapists, school psychologists, and administrators.

• Student-centered culture focused on academic achievement, inclusion, and social-emotional growth.
