Opportunity Telemundo Fresno is looking for a Photographer/Editor. As a Photographer/Editor, you will be responsible for shooting and editing stories, including spot news and features. Job Summary The ideal candidate will directly work with and report to Assignment Desk and works closely with Executive Producer and New Director. Through the creative use of the camera, and proficient lighting and editing skills, will provide the viewer with a story on a given topic. Key Responsibilities Will operate camera, or cellular bonded technology and edit on Adobe Premier Pro edit systems. Respond quickly to breaking news while taking directions and interacting with the assignment desk, reporters/anchors, production, control room, and appropriate personnel. Shoot and edit high-quality video, interviews, and story packages Set up and operate microphones and monitor audio levels Set up and operate lighting equipment Perform work under pressure with multiple, daily deadlines Gather video and interviews independently as needed Troubleshoot technical issues in the field Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor's degree in journalism and/or equivalent work experience Minimum 2 years' experience as a news photographer Bilingual (English/Spanish) both written and verbal Be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment at a given time - including camera, lighting kit, cable reel, and LiveU and Dejero units.
