Warehouse Technician

Warehouse And Inventory SpecialistThis individual will be responsible for ordering, receiving, documenting freight and packages, placing stock in proper areas, checking out stock to employees and overseeing inventory in warehouses. Also manage and place orders for future work.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance & Service: Inspect, refill (recharge), and test fire extinguishers (ABC dry chemical, CO2 under supervision.Hydrotesting: Assist with high-pressure hydrostatic testing of cylinders.Shop Support: Clean, prep, recondition (sandblast/paint), and tag cylinders for service.Inventory & Shipping: Load/unload trucks, receive deliveries, manage stock, and prepare equipment for field technicians.Customer Interaction: Assist walk-in customers with drop-off/pick-up of extinguishers.Compliance: Maintain accurate service records and follow OSHA/DOT/NFPA regulations.Clean Warehouse - Daily pick up trash and sweptKeep inventory organized in the shelf and off the floorPut up incoming inventory dailyWork Returns and CreditsPull material for Pick TicketsLook for inventory with low stock levelsHelp with Will Call pickupsDrive standup and sit down forkliftPerform daily cycle countsHelp with physical inventoryAny other task you get assigned toMust be able to lift 50 to 75lbsMust have dependable transportation.Self-starterCapable of lifting up to 45 poundsForklift experience a plus but not necessaryComputer literate to utilize email and inventory programsWell organizedStrong customer skillsStrong ability to balance work loadGood driving skillsCommunication skillsRequirements & QualificationsExperience: Previous experience in a warehouse, shop, or fire safety setting is preferredPhysical Ability: Must be able to lift and move equipment over 50 lbsSkills: Ability to use hand tools and learn technical, hands-on tasksEducation: High school diploma or equivalentOther: Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks/drug screens.Training & Licensing: Potential for apprenticeships to earn state-specific fire extinguisher licensesAdvancement: Opportunity to move into a full Technician role.BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay, with medical, dental, vision and 401(k) benefits.
