Village Foods is looking for a reliable, passionate, and organized Prep Cook to join our team full-time in Santa Cruz, CA!
If you have experience in commercial kitchens, a strong work ethic, and love working in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you. You will play a key role in our daily kitchen production, ensuring our wholesome and fresh ingredients are prepped, chopped, and organized to the highest culinary and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle daily meal prep (washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring ingredients according to recipes).
- Keep kitchen workspaces, equipment, and utensils clean, sanitized, and properly stored.
- Assist with basic cooking tasks, meal assembly, and organizing food storage areas.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth, efficient daily operations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Prep Cook, Utility Cook, or Line Cook in a commercial kitchen.
- Great organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and stand for long periods.
- Legal authorization to work in the US.
