Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Location: Overland Park, KS and Blue Springs, MO Employment Type: Full-Time Work Setting: On-Site / In Person Pay: $23.00-$38.00 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a PTA who enjoys hands-on patient care and working collaboratively with Physical Therapists, physicians, nurse practitioners, chiropractors, occupational therapists, and other rehabilitation professionals.

Compensation

$23.00-$38.00 per hour Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, availability, and licensure.

Locations & Schedule

The position supports both Overland Park, KS and Blue Springs, MO locations. As the Overland Park location continues to grow, the initial schedule may include:

• 2-3 days per week in Overland Park, KS
• Approximately 2 days per week in Blue Springs, MO

The schedule may transition as the Overland Park location becomes fully staffed.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans established by supervising Physical Therapists
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation activities
• Provide hands-on treatment and therapeutic exercise instruction
• Treat patients recovering from work-related injuries, motor vehicle accidents, and other musculoskeletal conditions
• Support patients with workers' compensation, occupational medicine, personal injury, and general orthopedic conditions
• Monitor patient performance and response to treatment
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
• Communicate patient progress with supervising Physical Therapists and the rehabilitation team
• Educate patients on home exercise programs, recovery, and injury prevention
• Maintain a safe, professional, and patient-focused treatment environment
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other rehabilitation professionals

Qualifications

Required

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current PTA license in Missouri and/or Kansas
• Eligible to obtain licensure in both states if needed
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Preferred

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation
• Workers' compensation or occupational medicine experience
• Personal injury rehabilitation experience
• Functional rehabilitation or return-to-work experience
• New graduates are encouraged to apply
