JOB DESCRIPTION

The Legislative Caucus Field Director will be responsible for overseeing the 2026 field program.

Responsibilities

• Managing all aspects of the field programs for targeted races;
• Drafting and implementing general field plan;
• Targeted races reporting;
• Coordinated campaign and canvass tracking;
• Assisting in the hiring, training and managing campaign managers;
• Designing and implementing early voting and persuasion programs;
• Working with legislative candidates on field activities, as needed;
• Establishing accountability measures for field organizers and campaign managers;
• Any other campaign related tasks, as assigned.
• The HVF Field Director should expect a demanding work schedule and be available long hours.
• The HVF Field Director will report to the Executive Director.

Qualifications

• Qualified candidates must be highly organized, highly motivated and capable of working through a demanding work environment.
• At least two campaign cycles of field experience;
• At least one campaign cycle managing staff;
• Experience managing some aspect of a GOTV operation;
• Experience with VAN/VoteBuilder;
• Extensive experience with Excel;
• Be willing to relocate to Des Moines, IA.
