Job Title Supervisor, Quality & Training Location USA – Pasadena, Bay Area Blvd Time Type Full Time Company DSV – Global transport and logistics. DSV is a global logistics provider that offers end‑to‑end solutions in transport, storage, packaging and clearing of goods. Job Overview The Quality and Training Supervisor is a visible leadership and development role responsible for supporting the quality programs in the warehouse and coordinating the training courses required by DSV and the client. The Supervisor reports to the site General Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Quality Maintains compliance with international, industry and customer‑specific quality standards. Analyzes product/service issues to determine root causes. Communicates change control processes to all departments. Co‑ordinates internal and external audits and maintains the internal quality audit system. Assists in implementation and monitoring of the company quality systems, including compliance with ISO 9001:2008. Establishes, implements and evaluates quality management system metrics. Provides guidance to customer service and quality departments on problem‑solving and improvement opportunities. Manages customer‑driven continuous improvement roadmaps. Drives continuous improvement programs at all levels, including education. Develops and conducts training on the quality system and related topics. Oversees document control – updating, creating and publishing controlled documents and sending change notifications to affected parties. Develops and implements administrative systems for record management, traceability and trend reporting. Training Facilitate shift training on safety, operations, quality, standard updates and procedure updates. Implement OJT training programs to improve site performance. Conduct and supervise training and development programs for employees. Plan and deliver OJT courses necessary to meet training needs in consultation with department heads. Ensure all training information is entered into the matrix. Ensure site safety and training programs meet all regulatory, DSV and client requirements. Ensure sites are audit‑ready to meet ISO (client) and 5‑Star (DSV) requirements. Arrange maintenance of equipment and materials for effective training delivery. Responsible for equipment operator training, certifications, documentation and record keeping. Evaluate Associate skill levels, identify gaps and re‑train on updates. Maintain accurate staffing changes in the database and training files. Communicate training information with the manager. Accommodate flexible scheduling, including change of days and hours for training. Procurement Order supplies using COUPA (DSV system) and control inventory of supplies. Communicate with area owners for supply ordering (warehouse, re‑packaging). Other Duties Performs other duties as assigned. Works overtime as dictated by business needs. Supervisory Responsibilities Communicates problems and questions to site leadership and implements solutions to minimize risk. Follows all safety procedures. Responsible for all equipment, supplies, documents and materials related to the job. Follows all DSV policies and procedures. Complies with all federal, state and local regulations. Communicates with all levels of staff and the public as appropriate. Skills & Abilities Strong attention to detail and timely job performance. Good organizational and personnel skills. Strong communication skills, written and oral. Leadership, supervision and planning abilities. Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends. Participates in cross‑training metrics activities. Adapts to change in a fast‑paced environment. May cover floor supervision as needed. Education & Experience High school diploma. Minimum 2 years of supervisor experience in training and/or warehousing. Prior experience developing and implementing compliance strategies and plans. Preferred: MHE certification or basic MHE operation knowledge. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations Completion of a forklift training program. Other Physical Requirements Ability to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during warmer and colder months (mild to moderate). Computer Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). RF scanners. WMS functions. Language Skills English – reading, writing, verbal. Business communication. Mathematical Skills Basic to intermediate level for verifying quantities, inventory counts and other related duties. Physical Demands Occasionally bend. Frequently walk and stand. Constantly sit. Lift/Carry and Push/Pull 11–20 pounds. Reach above shoulder, squat or kneel. Work Environment The job rarely exposes the employee to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
