Job summary: Under general supervision, distributes either production or non - production items and materials to various locations throughout the plant. Materials may consist of purchased parts and in process parts, return-to-stock parts among other materials. Responsibilities: - Maintains Inventory Accuracy - Moves parts, WIP or finished product and delivers mail packages to various department locations and/or warehouse locations. - Operates various material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, rolling carts or forklifts. - Maintains the required documentation of all parts and materials moved in accordance with the specified procedures. - Drives in various road conditions, small roadways, highways. - Ensures work areas and other designated work areas are maintained in a safe and neat manner. - Ensure all material and inventory remains properly identified and stored free from damage or deterioration. - Assists with the training and instruction of new employees who may be assigned to this area. - Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled per assigned department. - Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those in contact on a day-to-day basis. **** **** The above list of responsibilities is not exhaustive, and you may be required to undertake other responsibilities and/or training as requested by your line manager or supervisor. Requirements: - Three (3) years- experience in warehouse environment - Forklift experience preferred. - Attention to detail. - Proficient in computer use for data entry, part scanning or transacting, printing of picklist and schedule review. - Meet minimum standards of safety and housekeeping per assigned department. - Have a valid Ohio Driver's License. - Ability to read metric tape measures and use measuring devices. - Ability to perform all operations within acceptable inventory accuracy, quality and time standards. - Must have the ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance.
