Relationship Banker II
The Relationship Banker II is responsible for opening accounts for customers, preparing new account paperwork and requesting the required identification. This position is also responsible for conducting teller transactions and cash vault transactions in an accurate and timely manner. The incumbent is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while following Bank policies and procedures, maintaining essential controls and mitigating risk. The incumbent is also responsible for helping customers achieve their financial goals through the sales and servicing of bank products and services. The incumbent works with the branch team to achieve their team scorecard goals and is responsible for achieving their own individual scorecard goals.
Principal responsibilities include:
- Opening accounts for customers and preparing new account paperwork and requesting the required identification.
- Handling customer transactions and helping with account-related inquiries. Accurately maintaining and balancing cash drawers and vault as well as reconciling any discrepancies.
- Identifying the needs of new and existing customers and offering appropriate products and services.
- Assisting with internal controls and daily report follow-up as well as handling night depository deposits and other operational duties as assigned.
- Consistently demonstrating the Bank's Right by You quality standards by providing a superior level of customer service.
- Mitigating losses through work accuracy and adherence with Bank policies and procedures, internal controls and regulatory guidelines more fully described within the Bank Operations and Procedures Manual.
- Achieving individual and/or team financial, production and relationship results relative to the specific metrics and goals assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic qualifications include:
High school diploma or GED with one year of banking experience and two years of cash handling and customer service experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional qualifications include:
- Demonstrates banking and product knowledge.
- Strong relationship and sales skills.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- High level of accountability, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Exceptional time management, communication, and customer service skills.
- Must maintain a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor.
- Must complete teller training classes.
- Must complete product knowledge, account maintenance, and account opening training classes.
- Ability to pass a background check.
