Maintenance Mechanic Rotating Shifts (D) - Pay up to $39.76 with Shift Diff

About the Role Maintenance Mechanic (Rotating D‑Shift) in our Dayton, Ohio Plant. Responsible for safe operation, mechanical maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment that produces high‑quality food and industrial ingredients. Key Responsibilities Follow Primient safety procedures. Install, dismantle, and move machinery using hoists, lifts, hand and power tools. Align machinery to precision using micrometers, laser alignment tools, and other measuring devices. Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections on pumps, gearboxes, fans, conveyors, and packaging equipment. Fabricate, install, and repair sanitary piping and plumbing systems. Conduct lubrication activities, oil and filter changes, and oil sampling. Operate forklift, boom lift, and other industrial moving equipment. Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Work 24/7 across rotating D‑shift schedule. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 3+ years of maintenance experience in chemical industry or industrial manufacturing. Experience installing and aligning pumps, motors, and gearboxes. Experience rebuilding industrial pumps, compressors, gearboxes, or centrifuges. Experience working on lubrication and filtration systems. Experience prefabbing threaded and welded pipe. Strong commitment to safety for self and co‑workers. Compensation & Benefits Skill Block pay‑for‑knowledge system: Starting pay $35.09/hr (July 2024) increasing to $37.70/hr after skill evaluation. $0.85/hr shift differential. Overtime opportunity.
