Responsibilities: Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately Transport and accompany clients to medical appointments, community activities, and social outings Administer medications and follow healthcare protocols as directed Encourage skill-building, independence, and community integration Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members Requirements: High school diploma or GED required Previous experience in direct care, caregiving, or human services preferred Valid Ohio driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check and drug screening CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills Genuine compassion and commitment to person-centered care About Us: Advocate Healthcare Services is a trusted provider of community-based support services in the Franklin, OH area, dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
