As a Medical Assistant Floater you will be a part of the Clinical Care Team engaging with our patients to develop lifelong well-being and health. The Medical Assistant role makes a difference in the patient care we offer and assists physicians and other clinicians by providing a unique blend of knowledge to accomplish prescribed medical treatment. Medical Assistants are multiskilled health professionals responsible for performing administrative and clinical tasks in our primary care facilities while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining positive patient engagement.

Medical Assistant Floater Role Overview:

• Prepare patients for examinations, including taking vitals
• Record and updating patient medical histories in electronic medical records software
• Perform routine tests and/or screenings such as mammograms, colorectal screening, and EKGs
• Prepare and administer medications, including intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections—including vaccinations/immunizations, as directed by a physician or other licensed provider
• Counsels patients on medication and special diets
• Wound care and changing dressings
• Sterilize and cleaning equipment and ensuring maintenance of examination rooms
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to ensure top level patient care
• Highly accurate in collecting phlebotomy samples from senior-aged patients

Use your skills to make an impact

Required:

• Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation) Certified
• This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB

Preferred:

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant
• 1+ years of Medication/vaccine administration experience
• 1+ years MA experience
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam before foreign language communication
• Value-based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
• 1+ years of Phlebotomy experience

Medical Assistant Working hours:

Monday to Friday 8AM - 5PM

Scheduled 32 hours per week

$1000 Sign on Bonus

We may require local travel; We reimburse mileage.

Language Proficiency Testing:

Bilingual English/Spanish. Must be able to speak, read and write in both languages without limitations or assistance. See Additional Information on testing. Applicants will be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 32

Pay Range: $43,000 - $56,200 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
