Cook Assistant

Responsibilities Assist daily kitchen operations with chefs. Clean and sanitize kitchen and eating areas after each meal. Prepare food with Head Cook, ensuring lunch is ready daily. Maintain strict adherence to hygiene protocols. Keep kitchen clean and orderly, including garbage removal, washing dishes, clearing refrigerators, freezers and storage rooms, sweeping, mopping floors and wiping down walls. Perform a deep cleaning every quarter and comply with the Cleaning Checkout. Assist with preparation of meal ingredients such as washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting and chopping fruit, vegetables, poultry and meat. Update inventory of food and kitchen supplies. Attend meetings and training sessions. Assist with cooking duties during events or activities when assigned. Follow all SGU policies and procedures and the chain of command. Maintain communication via cell phone or other means. Act as a floater in departments such as security, transportation, custodial and maintenance when needed. Qualifications Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Must have a cell phone or other means of communication. #J-18808-Ljbffr Sinte Gleska University
