Third Party Manufacturing, Account Manager, External Manufacturing Medical Device

AbbVie seeks an Account Manager to serve as the primary interface between the company and third-party manufacturers or customers for contract manufacturing of pharmaceutical products, combination products, and medical devices. The role involves managing accounts, negotiating contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing manufacturing capacity and supply chain performance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact between AbbVie and third-party manufacturers or customers; travel to sites and build working relationships
• Interface with executive management at third-party organizations and resolve contract fulfillment issues
• Assess manufacturing capacity against forecasts and identify opportunities to in-source, out-source, or consolidate work
• Negotiate new and extended contracts with appropriate input; establish performance metrics and ensure strategic alignment
• Maintain contract information, track key dates and milestones, and support new product launches and transfers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field
• 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing, program management, materials management, logistics, QA, marketing, business development, or engineering
• Experience with combination products and/or medical devices preferred; medical device experience particularly valued
• Demonstrated proficiency in financial analysis, contract negotiations, and project management
• Strong program management, presentation, and oral and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and understand operational and logistical issues
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to manufacturing and contracts
