Stillwater Sciencesseeksahighlymotivatedmid -to- seniorProjectManager. This individual willserve asan experiencedenvironmentalpermit planning,compliance,andrestorationleader for projectslargelybasedin the Sacramento/Delta region.The ideal candidate will be familiar with the regulatory context of Deltarestorationandlevee rehabilitationwork as well as theevolvinglandscape of environmental regulations (e.g., new candidate/listed species, compensatory mitigation requirements, etc.).This is ahybridposition based out of our Sacramentoor Berkeleyoffice withoccasional overnighttravel to field sites throughoutthe Delta. This is a full-time,40 hoursperweek, exempt position.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Serve asProject Manager for multipleenvironmentalplanning andpermittingprojects.

• Managelevee repair, rehabilitation, and multi-benefit restoration projects (e.g.,flooding islands to create large areas of tidally influenced fish habitat, often large-scale andrelatively complex).

• Leadregulatorypermitacquisition, includingprocurement of401 Water Quality Certifications/WDRs, 404 USACE permits,andCDFWLake and Streambed Alteration Agreements,as well asoverseeingCEQA,NEPA, and ESAcompliance, including other potential Cutting the Green Tape environmental permitting pathways.

• Provideenvironmentalcomplianceand monitoringsupport in partnerships with the client, stakeholders, and agencies.

• Represent Stillwater in project team meetings and public forums on technical and resource management issues.

• Instructandoverseestaff to complete high-quality field efforts and analysesandprovidementorshipand guidanceonpreparation ofregulatorydocuments.

• Providefinal technical/editorial review of deliverables.

• Preparescopes of work and budgets for new opportunities.

Required Skills:

• Demonstrated excellence with writing and verbal communications.

• Experience preparing complex regulatory compliance documents and developing permitting strategies for local, state, and federal permits.

• Proven ability to work well with collaborative project teams, regulatory agencies, and diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• BS,MS,or PhDinEnvironmental Policy,Fisheries Biology, Aquatic Ecology,Terrestrial Ecology,or related field,with8+ years of experience in the environmental field.

• Willingness to periodically travel and work long hours in the field or office to meet project needs.

• Be able to travel efficiently between office locations andpossessa valid drivers license.
• PossessValid work authorizationto workintheUnited States.
• Physical capacity requirements:with reasonable accommodation,candidates shouldbeable toliftor carry equipment;walk on uneven terrain;climb, bend,orkneel;and safely work outdoors in varying conditions.Candidates should be able to sit or stand for extended periods.

Compensationand Job Details:

• This is afull-time,40 hours/week, exempt position based out of our SacramentoorBerkeley office, with preference for our Sacramento office.

• For this position, weanticipatethe range to be $81,016-$104,000. Salary iscommensuratewith qualifications and experience.

• Pay within this range isdeterminedin good faith and based on a combination of factors, which may include relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance expectations, shift and travel requirements, and business or organizational needs. For candidates who meet the stated qualifications and experience, Stillwater typically targets pay near the midpoint of the range, recognizing that individual placement may vary.

• Thisis a hybrid position (3 days/week in-office) based out of our Sacramento or Berkeley, California office, with frequent travel to field sites throughout the Sacramento Delta region.
