WorkSolved Staffing is hiring for Material Handler on 1st Shift in the Walker area. We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to handle materials and components accurately, ensuring smooth workflow and timely delivery. If you have excellent organizational skills, can follow instructions precisely, and thrive in a manufacturing and assembly environment, this role is perfect for you!
Responsibilities:
- Read and understand work orders and instructions accurately.
- Utilize strong organizational skills for efficient handling of materials and components.
- Count and use scales to verify quantities, ensuring accuracy in all transactions.
- Pull required components for assemblers based on work orders, following prescribed procedures.
- Adhere to "First In First Out" principles for inventory rotation.
- Create labels to identify products and ensure proper traceability.
- Place materials and components in designated locations to optimize workflow.
- Perform daily cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Utilize basic computer skills for data entry, record keeping, and report generation.
- Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality to support production goals.
- Collaborate effectively with team members in a manufacturing and assembly setting.
- Lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds and handle objects above the head weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Adapt to sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods during the workday.
Requirements:
- Ability to read and understand work orders and instructions in a manufacturing and assembly environment.
- Excellent organizational skills for efficient handling of materials and components.
- Proficiency in counting and using scales to verify quantities accurately.
- Familiarity with "First In First Out" principles for inventory management.
- Basic computer skills for data entry, record keeping, and report generation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Team-oriented mindset for effective collaboration in a manufacturing and assembly team.
- Physical strength and stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and handle objects above the head.
- Reliable attendance record and punctuality.
- Flexibility to adapt to sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods in a manufacturing and assembly environment.
Details:
- 1st Shift – 7am to 330pm
- Pay Rate. $19.00/hour
