Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 9 hours, days Employment Type: Travel We are looking for an Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Urbana, IL. The right IR Tech should have 1 year of recent acute care experience. Responsibilities As an IR Tech, you will be responsible for operating the fluoroscopic equipment and assisting the physicians with minimally invasive, image‑guided procedures. You will also prepare and observe the patients undergoing the procedure and report abnormal activity. Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required Assist in scrubbing all diagnostic and interventional procedures Monitor patient during all procedures Demonstrate thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques to assure that adequate safeguards are maintained for patient and operator exposure Demonstrate knowledge of physiology and anatomy and of common disease presentations to interpret examination requests accurately Operate intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps Maintain accurate patient records Use the McKesson PACS system Requirements Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience BLS and ACLS certifications ARRT (R) National Certification and state‑specific licensing when required Vascular Interventional certificate preferred Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology Job ID #1425353.
