Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Special Education or a related field
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting is highly preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt instruction for diverse learning needs
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, engaging classroom atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

• Case management for students, maintaining caseloads of 12-15 learners
• Develop and implement effective IEPs in collaboration with general education staff and families
• Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies designed to promote academic, behavioral, and emotional growth
• Maintain accurate records, document student progress, and participate in meetings as required
• Work closely with paraprofessionals and support staff to address students’ needs
• Communicate regularly with caregivers to keep them informed and involved in their student's education
