Instrumentation and Automation Electrician
Muskegon County, MI — Off-shift
Is this you?- Do you enjoy diagnosing PLC, VFD, and instrumentation issues in fast-paced manufacturing?
- Can you interpret wiring diagrams and translate them into safe, effective repairs?
- Are you energized by keeping equipment reliable and production on schedule?
- Own troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and controls on production and facility equipment.
- Install, inspect, and test electrical/electronic components to meet quality and compliance expectations.
- Identify root causes of complex electrical and instrumentation faults and resolve them quickly.
- Read and apply schematics, diagrams, and OEM documentation.
- Perform preventive maintenance and calibrate sensors, drives, and control systems.
- Partner with maintenance, engineering, and operations on upgrades and process improvements.
- Follow electrical safety and lockout/tagout procedures at all times.
- Document work in line with company and regulatory standards.
- Provide technical support and share best practices with teammates and operators.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that advance safety, reliability, and uptime.
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Possess a minimum of one of the following:
- Master Electrician License
- Proven strength in electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and controls
- Experience with PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation, and industrial automation
- Problem-solver who thrives both independently and in a team setting
- Passionate about safety, reliability, and continuous improvement
- Base pay: up to $41.50 per hour
