Quality Control Technician

Together, we are making a difference in the lives of patients around the world.Location: This position is onsite and will be based at our Minnesota location:Merit Medical - MSP 1265 Grey Fox Road, Suite 550 Arden Hills, MN 55112Essential Functions PerformedPerforms inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies, or finished goods according to defined procedures.Accurately documents the results of the inspections and testing.Assists in developing or updating inspection procedures as needed.Generates Nonconforming Material Reports (NCMR) for products not meeting specifications.Tracks and maintains NCMR's through the Quality Management System.Generates Certificate of Compliance documentation for finished good product.Coordinates annual calibration with outside calibration services.Coordinates annual cleanroom certification with outside cleanroom certification service.Supports monthly monitoring and trending meetings.Submits Bioburden and endotoxin samples to outside testing facility.Reviews Device History Records and other documents for compliance with established procedures.Performs a variety of other tasks and related work, as required.Essential Physical/Environmental DemandsLifting -- Not to exceed 50 lbs. -- local practice may apply.WritingSittingStandingBendingVisual acuityColor perceptionDepth perceptionReadingField of vision/peripheralSummary Of Minimum QualificationsEducation and/or experience equivalent to a High School Diploma.A minimum of three years of work related experience.Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.Knowledge of various tooling and testing equipment.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of manufacturing practices and ISO requirements.Experience working in a medical device environment.CompetenciesOrganizationInterpersonal SkillsTeamworkWritten and Verbal CommunicationPay Range: $23-31 per hourInfectious Control Risk Category II:The risk category explains whether or not employees are likely to come into contact with blood or body fluids while performing their jobs.
