CGP: Temp Grants Accountant

Our client is seeking a Grants Accountant. As a Grants Accountant, you'll play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of grants and contracts awarded to our organization. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that expenditures comply with grant terms and conditions, preparing financial reports, and maintaining accurate records. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $30 to $34 per hour.
Job Description:- Manage the billing and collection cycle for all assigned grants and contracts.
- Ensure timely and accurate billing in accordance with grant funding policies and procedures.
- Monitor grants and contracts revenue and expense transactions to align with approved budgets.
- Assist program directors with account maintenance, including budget modifications, amendments, and expenses transfers.
- Prepare periodic financial reports for funding agencies.
- Reconcile monthly grant and revenue data to ensure timely payments.
- Maintain records and documents in compliance with policies, federal/state/local laws, and contractual obligations.
- Prepare monthly journal entries.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience with non-profit grant accounting.
- Familiarity with federal regulations related to sponsored programs and grant management.
