Doorman

The Doorman is responsible for managing the entrance of a building or establishment, ensuring a welcoming and secure environment for residents, guests, and visitors. This role involves a combination of customer service, security, and administrative duties to maintain the smooth operation of the building's entrance.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service:

• Greet residents, guests, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Provide information about the building, its amenities, and the local area.

Security:

• Monitor and control access to the building, ensuring that only authorized individuals enter.
• Check identification and verify the credentials of visitors and service personnel.
• Report any suspicious activities or security concerns to the building management or security team.

Operational Duties:

• Assist with emergency procedures and evacuations as needed.

Administrative Tasks:

• Maintain accurate logs of visitors, and security incidents.
• Communicate effectively with building management and maintenance teams.
• Perform routine inspections of the entrance area to ensure cleanliness and order.

Maintenance of Appearance:

• Ensure the entrance and surrounding areas are clean, well-lit, and free of obstructions.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

Skills and Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong observational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently.
• Basic knowledge of security protocols and emergency procedures.
• Previous experience in a customer service or security role is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Capability to lift and carry items up to a certain weight (25 lbs.).
• Dexterity to operate electronic devices and access control systems.

Work Environment

• The role typically involves working in an outdoor environment, but may require time inside in various weather conditions.
• Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the building's operational hours.
