In 2026, DH Pace is celebrating its 100 th anniversary in business. DH Pace Company, Inc . is seeking to hire an Estimator to join our team in our Olathe, KS office! With minimal supervision, theestimator is responsible for preparing accurate, timely, and competitive bids forcommercialindustrialdoor andloadingdocksystems. They will work to support our sales staff, resulting in profitable sales and positive customer relationships. Knowledge and/or experience in the construction or building materials industry is strongly preferred. Job Responsibilities: Rapidly develops or possess advanced level skills at using DH Pace estimating processes and procedures and utilizing DH Pace estimating software as well as other business software programs. (Excel, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, IFS, SAM, etc.) Rapidly develops or possesses advanced level knowledge of door and dock related products, understanding functionality, special features, usage options as well as pricing variance based on specific job needs Rapidly develops understanding ofcoreproductlines,vendors,andlaborstandards Educates sales team on product options and assist customers in product selection to ensure sale and best project outcome Perform effectivequoterequestreview,scopecreation,materiallist, andproductselections to generate accurateprojectcostestimates andbids Estimates advanced and complex projects of limited project size, writing all proposals clearly and concisely for review and approval bymanager prior to customer's review Promote and maintain a positive attitude toward outside contractors, architects and individuals within thecompany regardless of the circumstances Understand vendor relationships and build strong relationships with contacts Meet or exceed annual estimating volume expectations as warranted based on experience level or length of time in the position Ability to manage time effectively while sustaining individual and team workloads Additional responsibilities as assigned JobQualifications: Experience withblueprints/plans and Specs highly desired Must have strong attention to detail and good organizational skills Must have good verbal and written communication skills, and excellent customer service skills Ability to manage time effectively while sustaining individual and team workloads Ability to workovertime as required Possess strong language, written,and mathematical skills Must be computer literatewith a working knowledge of Microsoft Office What We Offer Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage — available your first full month Generous paid time off plus paid holidays and floating holidays Company-paid life insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability 401(k) with employer match Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options Voluntary benefits including supplemental life and critical illness coverage Employee discounts for you and your immediate family Competitive compensation with annual performance reviews Successful completion of employment verifications, background check, drug screen, and driving record (if applicable) required in advance of hire.
