Group Summary The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets. Job Responsibilities Develop manufacturing processes for new product/programs. (Specify assembly equipment, establish process flow, estimate labor requirements, develop work instructions, design and implement error proofing, etc.) Prepare quote and other customer required submissions. Establish production floor layouts that promote lean manufacturing concepts and effective usage of space. Coordinate department responsibilities for launches of new programs. Provide leadership and audit the process for manufacturing effectiveness and quality. Represent Nascote at assembly plants for problem evaluation or during launches. Represent Nascote at vendor shops to validate machines prior to delivery. Investigate process problems using the 8D or similar problem-solving methodologies. Lead teams to effective solutions. Periodically re-evaluate assembly processes for improved throughput, labor utilization, and quality. Work various shifts, overtime, and weekends when required. Preferred 2 years of assembly manufacturing engineering experience. Competent in use of Auto-Cad.
