About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer for its Athletics program. The successful candidate will be a proven enterprise leader with a strong background in intercollegiate or professional sports, sports business, entertainment, or a related field. This role is pivotal in leading the strategy, financial sustainability, commercial growth, philanthropy, brand, partnerships, and public leadership of the athletics program. The CEO will be responsible for turning the program's distinctive identity and community ties into sustained net revenue, stronger student and fan engagement, and broad competitive success. Key responsibilities include enterprise leadership, financial stewardship, revenue growth, and external partnerships, as well as a focus on student, fan, and community engagement. Applicants for the CEO position must have a Bachelor's degree and a substantial senior leadership experience. A verified record of leading material revenue growth and financial improvement is essential. The role requires a candidate with a strong ability to connect financial growth with competitive priorities, student-athlete success, compliance, and institutional values. The ideal candidate will have a track record in football and basketball demand, donor and corporate partnerships, and experience in a resource-constrained, turnaround, or secondary-market environment. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, experience as a chief executive or comparable enterprise leader, and fluency in NIL, revenue sharing, and media rights. The CEO will also be expected to have the ability to build trust quickly in a distinctive regional culture and be ready to deliver results from the outset.
