Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources team at Amcor is a core group of professionals who manage employee relations, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, affirmative action, employment law compliance, payroll, salary administration, and benefits. This role serves as the primary contact for general HR questions, benefits issues, payroll discrepancies, and interpretation of HR policies. Responsibilities Implement human resources programs by providing services in staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, employee relations, retention, and labor relations. Develop human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information and recommending courses of action. Improve manager and employee performance by identifying problems, evaluating potential solutions, implementing the selected solution, and coaching and counseling managers and employees. Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires and create plans to ensure new hire retention. Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data. Maintain, update, and ensure accuracy of information in the Human Resources and Payroll systems. Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential. Manage the FMLA program. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and professional organizations. Complete special projects as established by the Human Resources Manager, clarifying project objectives, setting timelines, and organizing information to fulfill transactions. Follow and comply with Safety Absolutes, Quality Absolutes, ISO 9001, ASI – Food Safety, ISO 15378 requirements, and all regulatory laws and guidelines. Perform any other tasks as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 4 years of demonstrated Human Resources experience. PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred. Highly motivated, self‑directed work ethic with excellent interpersonal, communication, written, and leadership skills. Computer literate, with basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Preferred experience with Workday and UKG. Strong organizational skills and proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously. Extensive knowledge of employment law and ability to apply that knowledge. Proven skills in performance management, training management, and conflict resolution. Contribution to Safety, Quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
