Interior Designer - Senior

You have exceptional conceptual design skills, a background in architecture or design, and a portfolio of innovative design concepts. You are an integral member of the design team who itches to contribute a point of view and craves participation in conceptual thought process and design exploration. What You Will Do Team leader of interior design projects that include visioning and programming client needs, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and decorative lighting Generate concepts for finish plans, RCP, lighting plans, specifications, material selections, and millwork for the project Provide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design concepts Work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators Integrate new technology and tools on projects (AR, VR, computational design, etc.) Strive to elevate design quality on every project Lead design presentations and develop effective client relationships as trusted advisor Engage in marketing and business development efforts Mentor and motivate your teams Foster and cultivate a culture of design in the officeand strive to elevate design quality on projects. Your Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture 10+ years of interior architecture/design experience of varying project types with an emphasis on workplace, hospitality, commercial office buildings, residential, and mixed-use design NCIDQ required Advanced knowledge of the design process, including FF+E, furniture systems and specifications, color and materials Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, 3D Studio Max and other modeling software programs Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), SPEXX a plus Outstanding conceptual 3-dimensional thinking and graphic presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideas Strong storytelling ability, both verbal and written, that conveys purpose and impact Graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices required For consideration, please submit resume and work samples. The base salary range will be estimated between $100,000 - $120,000. Gensler's total compensation package is multi-layered and includes a base salary, two annual bonuses paid in December and June, an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), and profit sharing.
