Reports To: Imaging Manager / Director of Imaging Services


Position Summary


Join our Imaging Center Team as a Front Desk Coordinator that collaborates with our dynamic multidisciplinary practice! We are seeking a professional and patient-focused Medical Imaging Coordinator to support front desk operations in a fast-paced imaging center. This role is the first point of contact for patients and plays a key part in scheduling, registration, and delivering an exceptional patient experience.


Key Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients; collect paperwork and copayments

• Schedule and coordinate MRI, DEXA (Bone Densitometer), and X-ray appointments

• Verify insurance coverage and ensure HIPAA compliance

• Answer phones, manage messages, and provide patient instructions

• Scan and maintain records in EHR/RIS systems

• Collaborate with technologists, physicians, and clinical staff

• Act as liaison between front desk staff, clinical teams, and management for coordinated patient care

• Stand out as a valuable team member, bringing energy in collaboration with all other healthcare disciplines in a team setting to help our patients GET BETTER FASTER!

Qualifications


Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• 1+ year of medical front desk or imaging experience preferred

• Knowledge of EHR/RIS systems and Microsoft Office

• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills

• Familiarity with radiology terminology (MRI, DEXA, X-ray) preferred

Experience

• Previous front desk or administrative experience in a medical or imaging setting preferred

• Strong knowledge of patient registration, scheduling, and HIPAA regulations

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to multitask and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment
