Medical Assistant/Receptionist
Qualified candidates must be able to perform various duties that may include greeting patients, entering new patient information, checking patients in and out, verifying insurance coverage, answering telephones, scheduling appointments, collecting co-payments, assisting with procedures, taking medical history, cleaning and stocking rooms, refills, pre-certifications, rooming patients, scheduling procedures, lab work, EHR charting, and other clinical or administrative duties as needed.
Job Requirements:Applicants must have a Medical Assistant diploma, certification, graduate transcript, or equivalent medical office/front desk experience.
Candidates should possess excellent customer service and telephone skills, familiarity with medical terminology, and a working knowledge of insurance plans, including HMOs, PPOs, and commercial insurance. Previous medical front desk or medical office experience is preferred. Experience with NextGen EPM/EMR is a plus.
Schedule: Monday – Friday
7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
