The responsibilities of the Mental Health Counselor are varied and impactful, including:

  • Leading individual and group therapy sessions to help patients process their trauma and cultivate coping strategies for healing.

  • Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated, comprehensive care for patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary clientele includes individuals who have faced significant traumatic experiences, including but not limited to veterans, survivors of abuse, and those coping with the aftermath of distressing life events. Your role will be crucial in providing support to these individuals, fostering resilience, and guiding them towards a path of recovery.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • \n
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant post-licensure counseling experience.
  • \n
  • A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental attitude.

  • Composure and professionalism when handling high-stress situations.

  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.
