The Role

The role of Product Manager – Hydraulics is pivotal for the Component Maintenance activities within Fokker Services. As such, you will be defining the global strategic roadmap and identifying new capabilities, technologies and repair procedures for both the Netherlands & Americas Hydraulics shop, as well as optimizing the existing capability portfolio. 

You will have the opportunity to work with an experienced team of fellow Product Managers, supported by a large group of supporting Product Engineers. Eventually, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of the global Hydraulics technology roadmap and providing guidance to the Engineering team accordingly. In addition, the Product Manager will liaise closely with the Sales & Procurement department in order to work on both Sales campaigns and cost saving reduction opportunities.

The Product Manager – Hydraulics will report to the Global Head of Programs – Component Services and will liaise with fellow Product Managers and the Hydraulic Repair Shop Managers in order to achieve goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for defining the global development agenda for new Hydraulics capabilities and repair technologies;
• Responsible for managing continuous improvement on the existing capability portfolio by means of lean principles;
• Identify or support sales campaigns in conjunction with the Sales department in order to expand the volume and revenue of Hydraulics capabilities;
• Initiate cost saving opportunities in conjunction with the Procurement department in order to enhance the competitiveness of Hydraulics capabilities;
• Perform technical data analyses on existing Hydraulics portfolio and set-up measurements to improve business intelligence on a product level;
• Responsible for maintaining the existing global capability portfolio from a commercial perspective.

Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

• Demonstrated entrepreneurial skillset and experience in driving Sales opportunities;
• Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate (product) strategy and technical principles to support departments; 
• A demonstrated understanding of hydraulic components and associated systems;
• A demonstrated ability to identify improvements, applying lean principles and driving continuous improvement;
• Demonstrated commercial savviness and understanding of operational excellence;
• Demonstrated ability in solving complex problems and showing a can-do attitude;
• Demonstrated excellent analytical and data analysis skills;
• A demonstrated excellent proficiency in relevant software skills: MS Excel or Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Access.

Desirable:

• Bachelor degree, in an (Mechanical) Engineering discipline;
• Experience in Program management or qualification related to a Program Management related discipline.

• This role will be based out of our office in Lagrange, GA and full time presence at this location is expected, including regular travel to other global sites.
