Certified Respiratory Therapist – Lexington, KY

Warrior Service Company LLC in Lexington, KY is seeking a skilled full-time Certified Respiratory Therapist . We provide Durable Medical Equipment, Mobility, and Access services to the federal government and commercial customers in different parts of the country, providing Home Medical Equipment (HME) and Services consisting of all types of DME, Home Oxygen Services, Sales and Repairs of Complex Rehab Power Mobility Devices to the Department of VA and other Federal Agencies

What You Will Do

Provide in-home evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.

• Provide continuing education in use as needed or directed by a licensed Department of Veteran Affairs Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). All education material provided by the Contractor shall be initially reviewed and approved by the COR and Veterans Affairs Pulmonary or Respiratory Chief/Director/Supervisor or designee within the Pulmonary/Respiratory Section. Any changes to educational materials shall need to be approved through the COR before dissemination to the patients.
• Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis
• Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition.
• Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
• Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.
• Educate the patient and family about the health condition and provide information about community support groups and other available programs.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
• Respiratory Care Practitioner obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or associate degree, or technical degree required.

Additional Preferences

• Experience with home oxygen.
• Candidates with licenses and certificates preferred.

Job Type:

• Full Time M-F

Salary:

• Up to $70k including on-call (flexible)
• Full Time company benefits w/ possible car allowance
