Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-hour shifts, Day/Night Rotation (7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend and every other holiday | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a 38-bed multi-specialty ICU, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and their families
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
• Update and manage patient records, including entering and interpreting computerized data and information
• Follow nursing department guidelines and established policies
• Assist the leadership team with quality improvement projects as needed; may be required to float to Med/Surg when needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN ICU experience in a multi-specialty ICU setting (CCU, SICU, MICU, Neuro, or CT)
• Nursing degree: Diploma or ASN required
• Active Massachusetts RN License required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification required
• Telemetry experience required; must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be considered at a local rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN degree preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency with experience entering and interpreting electronic health record data
